Tyson SOLOSKI

U17 PREP HEAD COACH

My name is Tyson Soloski, I grew up in Cochrane, Alberta where I played my minor hockey through the AA/AAA stream. I have always loved the game, so after minor hockey I continued to play 4 seasons of junior and after that I knew I wanted to be involved on the coaching side.

I have been coaching since 2014. I started as an assistant coach at the U18 AA level and loved it, from there I bounced around as head coach of both U15 AA and U18 AA teams including a league championship with the U18 AA team. In 2018 I was able to be an assistant coach with Hockey Alberta’s Pewee Prospects tournament. The following season I was an assistant coach with the AC Avalanche U16 AAA team.

For the past 4 seasons I have been the head coach of the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA team, which was an incredible run. In 2022 I was fortunate enough to be selected as an assistant coach for Hockey Alberta’s Alberta Cup. In 2021-2022 season we qualified for provincials and in the 2022-2023 season the Airdrie Xtreme were able to become Provincial Champions.

Outside of the rink, I love playing any other sport and hanging out with my wife and family. I grew up playing baseball and golf and continue to do so. When I’m not at the rink you will find me on a diamond or a golf course. I also enjoy spending time at the lake in the summer with family and friends. I truly believe you should make the most out of every moment, so I try to live my life with passion, positivity and doing what I love.
